Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL) during work?

Are you fan of making absences? then this article is for you. Do you know that under Article 73 and 74 of the Employment Service Act (TAIWAN), the employees who are abandoning their job may face serious consequences?

If the employee is absent from work for 3 consecutive days without any notice, then He or She is liable to face the consequences under article 73 and 74 of the Employment Service Act. And a fine not less than NT$30,000 but not more than NT$150,000. If the employee's offense is more serious then He or She is subject for repatriation.

Most of the companies required their employees to present a medical certificate if absent for 3 consecutive days ( with the medical condition only).

What if my employers or brokers found me working in other company?
It is also under the Article 73 and 74, that if an employee caught by his or her employers then they will face the serious consequences. A fine not less than NT$30,000 but not more than NT$150,000 and repatriation.
