26 Deaths and 114,000 cases of flu have been recorded in Taiwan


Taiwan Health Agency has reported 2 new cases of death due to flu. And there are 79 new serious cases that have been recorded last week since the country has entered its peak season of winter flu according to the press release by the Heath Agency last Tuesday.

They were aged 67 and 47 and they died in less than 5 days after they had been infected by the flu. It was also recorded that 114,000 people seek medical attention in various hospitals in the country from December 29 to January 4, 2020, which is 4 percent higher than from previous weeks.

Taiwan has recorded 26 death due to virus and 76 percent of these are due to A/H1N1 Virus.

What are the symptoms of A/H1N1 Flu?
The signs and symptoms of swine flu are similar to those of infections caused by other flu strains and can include:
  • Fever (but not always)
  • Chills.
  • Cough.
  • Sore throat.
  • Runny or stuffy nose.
  • Watery, red eyes.
  • Body aches.
