A Pinay domestic helper in Hong Kong was quarantine after employers have been tested positive of Wuhan coronavirus

The Hong Kong authorities have confirmed that the domestic helper who was been quarantined was a Pinay worker. Her and employers went to Wuhan China last January 22. And her employers have been tested positive of Wuhan coronavirus.

“We confirm that a Filipina domestic helper was quarantined. She is healthy and shows no sign of infection." Philippine Consul Paul Saret said on Jan.26.

“However, she was contact traced to her employer’s two guests in Ma On Shan who tested positive. Given HK’s strict protocols and heightened alert, even healthy individuals maybe subjected to quarantine procedures if there is proof of contact,” he explained.

According to the authorities, she has been transferred to Lady MacLehose Holiday Village in Sai Kung for quarantine.

The daughter her employer has also been sick with a fever since Jan. 23 and will be transferred to Prince of Wales Hospital for isolation.
