NAIA temporarily closed, no incoming and outgoing flights in Manila

Manila International Airport (MIA) has temporarily suspended the flights for outbound and inbound. The management announced at around 6:22 p.m. due to the eruption of Taal Volcano which causes severe falls of ashes in the area.

"Aviation authorities are also discussing the potentiality of redirecting all NAIA arriving flights at Clark International Airport in Pampanga." a separate advisory of CAAP.

Meanwhile in the interview by Alvin Elchico at DZMM to Manila International Airport Authority (MIAA) General Manager Ed Monreal this evening at 9:40 p.m., He said that the Airport will be closed until further notice. No exact time when will be open. The passengers are advised to contact their Airline buses.

No flights in NAIA since 6:22  p.m. and the last international flights landed is around 7:30 pm. All international flights will be diverted to Cebu International Airport because tomorrow morning the Clark International Airport might not be operational due to continuous ashfall.

All passengers are advised not to go to NAIA  even tomorrow morning to avoid congestion at the airport. Instead, coordinate first in their respective airline companies. According to MIAA Gen. Ed Monreal.
