A company in Tanzi district closes amid of employee's family member with Corona Virus Disease



A company in Tanzi District in Taichung has suspended all its operations until March 1, after one of their employee whose family member has been diagnosed with Corona Virus Disease.

The employee confirmed to the company that the 61 years old taxi driver who died last week due to Corona Virus Disease was their family member.

The company has immediately come up to suspend its operation as a precautionary measures. And they call the Taichung Environmental Protection Bureau earlier in the day to clean up the environment.

At a press briefing Tuesday, Health and Welfare Minister Chen Shih-chung (陳時中), who also heads the Central Epidemic Command Center (CECC), said only that a man, whose wife is the niece of a confirmed Wuhan virus patient, had been diagnosed with COVID-19 and as a result, 58 people from the company where the man works have been placed in "home isolation" for 14 days.
