10 Year Validity For Philippine Passport Begins on January 2018

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) has released the rules implementing regulation regarding the validity of Philippine passports. The Republic Act Number 10928 or the Act Extending the Validity of Philippine Passports states that passports will be valid up to 10 years.

There will be no changes on the appearance of the passport except for its validity. The 10 year validity are for Filipinos 18yrs and up while minors of below 18 will have only 5yrs of validity. Passport priced at 950 pesos.

“The Philippine passport with 10-year validity will be introduced beginning the 1st of January , 2018,”  according to the presidential spokesperson.
