Passport On Wheels Launched By DFA

Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) launched the Passport on Wheels (POW) that aims to decongest the consular offices of DFA in Metro Manila. This is also to hasten the process of passport application of those who find it hard booking an appointment online.

The first POW will be in Muntinlupa and according to the Muntinlupa Public Information Office, only the first 1,000 applicants will be accepted by Muntinlupa as directed by the DFA. It is advised for the applicants to present the original copies of the requirements at the Ayala Mall South Park in Alabang.

DFA has made several improvements in the passport application system including the deployment of passport on wheels, according presidential spokesperson Harry Roque.

A total of four Passport on Wheels are to be deployed within Metro Manila, as the first would be in Muntinlupa, the other three are to follow and would process a total of 2,500 applicants per day.
