Health Inspections Reveal Several Violations On A Hot Pot Restaurant In Taipei

The Health Department of Taipei have inspected several hot pot restuarant in the city and found numerous infractions. Around 19 hot pot restaurants are inspected with their ingedients use.

One hot pot restuarant is serving different ingredient than what is advertised. The menu has a John Dory fish dish but they serve a very much cheaper Basa fish.

The other restaurants are using lettuce with excessive substace called tebuconazole, a herbicide. 

Mala Hot Pot Restaurant have been fined NT40,000 for such violation/s. Checks to includes safe levels of pesticide residues, animal drug residues, preservatives, sweeteners, hydrogen peroxide, borax, sulfur dioxide, and other chemicals.
