A place to visit the historic Qingshui Temple in Taipei

 The historic Qingshui Temple is also famous as the Divine Progenitors Temple. This was built in 1787 when the immigrants from  Anxi brought the seven images of the Divine Progenitors. If you entered the temple, there is a pair of large dragon pillars in front of the center door. There is a carving in both sides of walls about 18th and 19th century that makes the oldest piece of art in the temple. And it also had the written in the walls of the reign of the Qing Dynasty. This temple in Taiwan also named as the most characteristic example of Mid-Qing architecture. There is a believed that this temple is Penglai Divine Progenitor also known as "Nose Dropping divine Progenitor because when there is a calamity meant to happened the nose will fall as a warning to the people and it will return to its position when the disaster is over. The long history of Qingshui Temple can be seen through its decorations.
