Taiwan temporarily hold visa application for Chinese and denies entry from Hubei China


Due to the rapid increase in the infected of Wuhan coronavirus, the government of Taiwan has made an immediate action. Aside from strict checking in seaports and airports. This Sunday, January 26, the government has announced its temporary suspension of all Chinese national visa applications. According to Taiwan's Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The country has also banned the entry of Chinese nationals, including the students from Hubei Province due to coronavirus outbreak.

"Applications of Chinese citizens from Chinese provinces other than Hubei (on account of tourism, social exchanges, professional exchanges, aesthetic medical checkups) will be temporarily suspended. A review of applications may apply under specific circumstances. The measures will affect Chinese students studying in Taiwan, whose entry will be postponed for two weeks. A Chinese spouse returning from Hubei, China will be retrained on home isolation and local competent authorities shall actively monitor the health of such spouse for 14 days." According to the CDC Taiwan.

On the latest record, the country has three confirmed cases of Wuhan coronavirus. A Taiwanese businessman in Kaohsiung, a woman from Southern Taiwan and a Chinese tourist.
